House Rules for Heartbreak Escapes
Dear Guests,
Our vacation homes are meant to be a second home for you. We hope you feel comfortable and relaxed here. We've put a lot of effort into the furnishings and hope you find everything you need. The following house rules are intended to help ensure a harmonious stay. We have also listed a few rules that we hope you will understand. By taking good care of the vacation homes, you help us continue to provide satisfactory accommodations for you and future guests.
General
If you miss anything in the furnishings or need help, please feel free to contact us. All items in the vacation homes or on the terraces are for the guests' use. Please treat the furnishings and inventory with care and be mindful of the rental property. Kindly ensure that your travel companions also adhere to the rental conditions.
Kitchen
Please treat the kitchen furnishings and appliances with care. Since no one enjoys a dirty kitchen, please make sure to store clean and dry dishes, pots, and utensils in the cupboards. Do not place hot pots or other hot items on tables or countertops without a coaster. Always use a cutting board when cutting. Please leave the inside of the oven and microwave clean.
Damages
While no one intentionally damages things, accidents can happen. We would appreciate it if you inform us of any damages so that we can address them before the final cleaning after your departure. The tenant is responsible for damages up to the cost of replacement.
Ventilation
To prevent mold growth, please ventilate the rooms sufficiently — at least once a day for 5-10 minutes, especially after showering.
Duty of Care
We ask our guests to treat the rental property carefully and ensure that travel companions and family members also adhere to the rental conditions. The entrance door must generally be closed and locked when leaving the house. All windows must be closed when leaving the vacation homes to avoid potential damage from storms or burglary. Please use water and electricity sparingly.
Waste Disposal
In Norway, waste must be sorted into categories: residual waste, paper, organic waste, and glass/metal. Appropriate bins are available on the property. Please sort your waste properly and dispose of it in the designated containers. Waste should not be flushed down the toilets to avoid blockages. Use the provided bins instead.
Please do not store your trash outside, as it can attract pests and wildlife. We ask you to dispose of the trash in the containers located approximately 1.3 km down the road (about 2 minutes by car). Please also pay attention to separating metal and glass.

Cleaning
If an accident occurs (e.g., extreme dirt, liquids on the floor or countertops, etc.), we kindly ask you to clean it immediately. We ask that you leave the vacation home in a broom-clean state and return any used dishes to the cupboards.
A vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies can be found in the storage room. If you use them, please replenish them as needed.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed inside the vacation homes. However, ashtrays are provided on the terraces for smokers. Please dispose of cigarette butts properly once they are fully extinguished.
Pets
Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement! However, we expect that they, like their owners, follow the house rules. Any damages must be reported. Dog waste should not be left in the garden or on the lounging areas.
Parking
You may park directly in front of the vacation homes; additional public parking spaces are nearby. If a parking space is provided, it does not create a storage contract. The landlord is not liable for any loss or damage to vehicles or their contents parked or maneuvered on the property, except in cases of intent or gross negligence.
Right of Access
In urgent cases, such as sudden damages that must be addressed immediately, it may be necessary for the landlord to enter the vacation homes without the guest's knowledge. However, this will only happen in extreme emergencies.
Liability
The landlord is not liable for guests' valuables.
Arrival and Departure
Check-in is from 3:00 PM, and check-out should be no later than 12:00 PM. We kindly ask our guests to leave the vacation homes in the condition they found them.
By booking a vacation home, we assume that the house rules will be accepted.
